With a consistent composing activity, Alexandru Ștefan MURARIU, graduate of the National Music Academy „Gheorghe Dima” from Cluj-Napoca, has established himself in the landscape of Romanian contemporary music through numerous distinctions and appearances in contemporary music festivals in Romania and France.

His portfolio includes chamber, vocal and symphonic works, along with film music and a different spatial approach.

Since 2016 he is a member of the Union of Composers and Musicologists from Romania, and since 2019 he is part of the executive committee of the SNR-SIMC (Romanian National Section of the International Society of Contemporary Music)

His creative occupation is completed by the didactic one within the Musical Composition and Conducting department of the National Music Academy „Gheorghe Dima” from Cluj-Napoca
